Simon Bolivar and Latin American Revolutions
Simon Bolivar was born in july 24, 1783 in Caracas, Venezuela. He was known for one of south Americas greatest general. He has battled and claimed victories for spaniards, also winning independence for countries such as Bolivia, Panama, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. He is also the first president of columbia. They needed power for the south so Simon defeated Peru, it became a seperate state. He named Bolivia in Bolivar's honor, in 1825. Bolivar went to great britain to search for help (armies). When he returned to Venezuela he defeated the spaniards and took over the place where he was born. What influenced him was that he went to europe in his early age and joined a patriot army to capture caracas.
